Received fresh is left radical mastectomy specimen measuring 11x8x7 cms. The medial, lateral, superior, inferior, and
deep resection margins are inked black. On serial sectioning, there is one firm area. This area measures 4x2x2 cms.,
and is located 0.5 cms from the posterior (nearest) resection margin in the UO Quadrant.
Sections from the superior, inferior, medial, lateral, and posterior (deep) margins are submitted as A to E respectively.
A section from the skin is submitted as F. Random sections from the upper inner, upper outer, lower inner, and lower
outer quadrants of the breast are submitted as G and H, I and J, K and L, and M and N respectively. A section from the
nipple is submitted as O. Sections from the lesional area are submitted as P to S. Sections from level I lymph nodes
(lower half of axilla) are submitted as: T to V. Sections from lymph nodes in level II are submitted as: W to Y.
